Rapper Young Berg who currently has the hit single out "The Business" cancelled a performance August 23, 2008 in Detroit for Hot 102.7's Summer Jam in Detroit.
The rapper was making an appearance at Detroit's Plan B Night club friday night which is reportedly co-owned by Detroit's rapper Trick Trick.
It was reported that Young Berg was robbed and beaten by several individuals at the Downtown club
Apparently, shortly after the rapper entered the nightclub, he was approached by several men confronting him about previous comments he made in reference to Detroit rappers.
Regardless of the presence of Young Berg's bodyguard whom was also engaged in the fight, the young rapper was defenseless and robbed of his jewelry including a diamond encrusted "Transformers" chain.
The driver hired by Radio One for Young Berg was alerted of the altercation, interjected and rescued the rapper out of the nightclub to saftey. Hours after the altercation, photos started to circulate on the internet with a man wearing the stolen chain.
Due to the incident Young Berg cancelled his performance at Hot 102.7's Summer Jam.
This is Young Berg second incident within one week as he and his entourage were arrested August 12 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana and a weapon after an arguement with his limo driver.
